Navy Cadets Training College
SouthCoast carried out an extensive refurbishment of the Cadets Training College at the Irish Naval Headquarters on Haulbowline in Cork Harbour. This 19th century building was completely re roofed as well as undergoing some internal repairs. The complete 30,000 square foot building was re roofed by a combination of roofing systems including natural slate hipped roofs, flat lead roofs, double pitched mansard roofs, asphalt flat roofs, lead dormers and annex roofs. Great care and workmanship was required to reproduce original historic architectural details such natural hip and ridge cored lead rolls, mahogany fascia and soffit, curb rafters renewal to create garret roof space as well code 8 milled lead and copper clips. SouthCoasts’ experience and expertise on this project has renewed a truly magnificent building.
